Today we had the second workshop on Html. I leant about formatting the Html and CSS. I found this session very useful as it cleared up a few things relating to CSS and how to use it. I particularly liked the hover function, where if you hover the mouse over something it will change it to the specified format. Below are some of my screen shots for the session, the bottom right image is what happens when the mouse hovers over the text box. The programme we are using is called Brackets.
In this Workshop I used Abobe After Effects for the second time, this time utilising a green screen to record the video. I then changed the background of the video to an image, inserted the video into a picture of a monitor and added some kinetic typography with a gradient background. The video is saved as a gif.
This is an example of what I am learning in the computer lab. We are using an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) called Processing . The first task we were given was to display coloured circles in a window, each time the programme is run it must generate random sized circles with random colours and turn the screen black when the mouse is clicked. I found this task difficult at first as we have only just started learning Processing, but as we were able to help each other we managed to work it out without too much trouble. I have included an image below showing the code and an example of the output.
Processing (available from processing.org) is a free open source software used for learning, prototyping and production. Processing is geared toward creating visual interactive media and was started in 2001.
